Our Grading System

"Levels of difficulty" are often very subjective and

should be used as a general guide.

When available, we have provided the specific levels

determined by at least 2 sources.

As always, your grading of any selection is based on

personal experience, the current abilities of your ensemble,

and the skills you are trying to introduce, review or reinforce.

The violin parts, in 99% of our string orchestra

music, can be played in 1st position.

In general our pieces are geared to students with

at least a year or more of playing experience.

Our pieces can also be used for review and reinforcement of basic

skills with less experienced, older student groups.

They will also work nicely as small ensemble pieces (ie: string quartets.)
